ABOUT BMES

The biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) provides students with their primary contact to the professional side of biomedical engineering before graduation. This year's officers have set goals which they hope will enhance the experience of each and every student and faculty member that partakes in the activities of the upcoming school year. Some of the main objectives of the organization are :

- Introduce the student members to the profession and social role of biomedical engineering

- Expand the members' knowledge of specific tools and techniques used in biomedical engineering.

- Other related fields.

How Do I Become a Member ?

Any person who is full-time or part time student enrolled in the undergraduate curriculum in engineering or engineering technology which culminates in a bachelor's or associate's degree, or in any graduate degree program, which will enhance professional competence, is eligible for membership in BMES. Students will apply to the national organization and pay dues of $15.00 to the national chapter and an additional $5.00 allotment going to the local student chapter.

To apply print the form provided below and fill in the information. The form may then be given to any of the officers of the faculty advisor, Dr. Charles Tritt.
